Potala Palace
A Potala Palace, a residence of Dalai Lama in the past. Its sits on the hill and overlooking Lhasa, a capitol city of Tibet. A Potala Palace is not just a residence but a representation of a Tibetan History and therefore known to the world as a Heart of Tibet.
Build in 7th century and then extended to its now size in the 17th century by a 5th Lama its became a center of political and religious affairs. The structure is 115.703 m high with thirteen stories. Including living quarters, temples, funerals stupas and monk dormitories. The countless cultural relics in the palace are images, murals, sutras, etc, which is incredible value. These magnificent Tibetans arts and culture are not only classified as national treasures but are also listed by the state council as one unit of the important cultural relics to be specially protected.
