Lhasa, The Capital of Tibet
Capital City, Lhasa pretty much a modern city. Located at the foot of Mt. Gephel and in the centre of the Tibetan Plateau, its elevated 3,650m (12,000ft) above the sea level. The mountains around it rise to 5,500m (18,000ft). The Kyi River, a tributary of the Yarlung Zangbo River runs through the city.
Lhasa is Autonomous Region in the People’s Republic of China and in the translation means “place of the gods”, Is home to the Tibetan, Han and Hui peoples, as well as many other ethnics groups. Lhasa is Autonomous Region in the People’s Republic of China.
